In an effort to do its part to reduce its carbon footprint, Sinai Marketing has implemented a number of "green" initiatives in its day-to-day operations.

The Boulder, Colorado-based Internet dental marketing firm officially committed recently to changing some habits to make the company more environmentally friendly, said Founder and President Ali Husayni, a search engine optimization expert.
"We've decided that we want to work harder as a company to be green and reduce our waste," Husayni said. "My mother, who is LEED certified in construction, advocates green building and is our partner in the business, suggested that we make the change."
For Sinai Marketing, going green means being mindful of the company's carbon footprint. Sinai employees now ensure that all computers are turned off when they leave for the day. Employees also have implemented an in-office recycling program for plastic, cans, paper and other waste.
The office stopped printing documents unless it was absolutely necessary, Husayni said, and Sinai's office equipment isn't going to be replaced unless it is absolutely necessary.
"We're living without new office furniture," Husayni said. "We want to use and repair things until they no longer function, it no longer is financially feasible to repair the items or we have someone else who could use them."
In the future, plans include switching the office computers to Apple, "which last much longer than regular PCs," he said.
The Dental Internet marketing firm also plans to support clean energy by donating some of its profit to this cause.
