Medicare's Competitive Bidding Program Begins Amid Controversy; while Home Care Delivered Provides Uninterrupted Diabetes Supply Service to Beneficiaries

July 1, 2008 marked the anticipated implementation of Medicare's Competitive Bidding Program, affecting the medical supply needs of thousands of Medicare Beneficiaries across 10 Metropolitan Areas throughout the country. As a Contract Supplier selected to provide Mail-order Diabetes Testing Supplies to Medicare Beneficiaries, Home Care Delivered offers customers a wide selection of products, hassle-free ordering, insurance verification, claims processing, and no-charge delivery.

Richmond, VA (PRWEB) July 3, 2008 - Despite last minute efforts by industry lobbyists and Congress to delay implementation, The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Competitive Bidding Program went live on Tuesday. CMS's Competitive Bidding Program is the first step in Congress' overall plan to save Medicare, Taxpayer, and Beneficiary money. Beneficiaries residing in a Competitive Bidding Area (CBA) may save up to 43% on their current out-of-pocket co-pay amount by utilizing a Contracted Mail-Order Diabetes Supply company. "The initial wave of new customers has already started calling and everything is running smoothly as planned," said Carol A. Muratore, Chief Operating Officer for Home Care Delivered.

Home Care Delivered, Inc. was awarded Supplier Contracts to provide Mail-order Diabetes Testing Supplies to Medicare Beneficiaries in several CBA's. These areas include: Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN; Cleveland-Elyria-Mentor, OH; Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington, TX; Pittsburgh, PA and Miami-Fort Lauderdale-Miami Beach, FL.

"Home Care Delivered understands that these changes may be confusing to Beneficiaries," said Carol A. Muratore. "We are prepared to make this transition period as simple as possible for Beneficiaries so their supplies are delivered without interruption. We have also been able to help other suppliers who, for whatever reason, are unable to or do not wish to enroll patients into their Mail-order Diabetes Supply Program."

Enrollment in Home Care Delivered's Diabetes Supply Program is easy and hassle-free. Call toll-free 1-800-565-5644, or sign-up online: www.HomeCareDelivered.com/MedicarePatients.

For additional information regarding Medicare's Competitive Bidding Program Beneficiaries are encouraged to visit Medicare's website: www.medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE.
