Make sure to use it gently between your chompers in a zigzag motion. Pulling the floss down too hard or too quickly could harm your gums.

It is better to eat more fruits and vegetables. They contain vitamins that are important for gums and prevent infections that may cause gums to inflame or bleed.

Cavities set the foundation for tooth decay leading to pain, infection, and tooth loss. They can destroy the tooth to a level where fixing it may seem impossible. In such a case, the tooth would need to be extracted, which is why you should go for regular dental checkups every six months. A cavity that is detected early can be treated and will do less damage for your tooth, thereby saving you bigger expenses.
