Manchester Cosmetic Dentist Celebrates 30-Year Makeover

Over 30 years, Dr. Freedman has witnessed a dramatic makeover in the dental visit experience, as he built up an expertise in advanced, comprehensive dentistry. Smoking in the office and removing teeth are no longer the rule. Rather, complete health awareness and lifelike transformation are now the norm. Manchester area residents leave his historic main street location with a renewed outlook and a confident smile.

Manchester, CT (PRWEB) June 19, 2008 -- Times have changed for Manchester cosmetic dentist Dr. Arthur Freedman. His office space on Main Street, once the Watkins Brothers' Furniture Organ and Piano Department, is a very different place today.

When he started his practice in the 1970s, he remembers the previous dentist-owner talking with his patient while both smoked cigarettes. That was also the age of silver fillings, gold crowns, pulling teeth and then fitting patients for dentures.

Thirty years later, Dr. Freedman is a leading cosmetic dentist who practices complete, advanced dental care.

That was then this is now by Dr. Freedman...

Smile Makeovers of Old... "When Manchester's Main Street was the main street, 'smile makeovers' consisted of complete dentures. While people were satisfied initially, it was short-lived. Back then when a tooth had a problem, we extracted it, did a root canal, and then a crown, but knew the patient would end up with dentures."

Now Saving Smiles... "High-powered magnification lets us see all the things we missed before when only using our eyes. We routinely save teeth with periodontal treatment. Bonding means we are no longer digging big holes in teeth to plug in fillings. Our patients now believe they should keep their teeth a lifetime."

Smile Makeovers for All... "Orthodontics used to be strictly for kids, now half the people straightening their teeth are adults. With shows like The Swan and Extreme Makeover, expectations are considerably higher. Smile makeovers were only for rich people less than two decades ago. Today, not only do many more people believe they deserve one, more than half the population can afford one. And the long-term health value makes it a logical investment."

Recently, Dr. Freedman was recognized in the Manchester area for his impressionist painting talent, which complements the artistry involved in his smile makeover expertise. While his dentistry was state of the art thirty years ago, the aesthetics today combine lifelike clinical outcomes with nearly perfect visual results. In the former Watkin's organ and piano department, his patients still can experience a beautiful composition.

He participates in more than 15 days of continuing education per year. This commitment, along with his continual update of dental technology, enables him to provide state-of-the-art dental care.

His artistic talents are combined with significant dental expertise to create strong, natural looking, and attractive smile makeovers. He lectures to other dentists, and they have selected him for the "Top Dentists" award from Hartford Magazine for both general and cosmetic dentistry.
